Robert de Caen

Robert was born in 1090 in Caen, Normandy, France. Robert's father was Henry I “Beauclerc” King of England and his mother was Matilda (Atheling). His paternal grandparents were William I (The Conqueror) and Matilda (Maud); his maternal grandparents were Malcolm III “Ceanmor (Longneck)” and Margaret (Atheling). He was an only child. He died at the age of 57 on October 31st, 1147 in Bristol, England. His burial was in St James Priory, Bristol.
