Matilda (Atheling)

Matilda, known as Atheling, was born in 1079 in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland. Atheling's father was Malcolm III “Ceanmor (Longneck)” and her mother was Margaret (Atheling). Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I and Sibyl Fitzsiward. She was an only child. She died at the age of 39 on May 1st, 1118 in Westminster Palace, London, England. Her burial was in Westminster Abbey, London, England.
