Henry I, known as Beauclerc, was born in 1068 in Selby, Yorkshire, England.  Beauclerc's father was William I (The Conqueror) and his mother was Matilda (Maud).  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 67 on December 1st, 1135 in Lyons-la-Foret, Rouen, Normandy.  His burial was in Reading Abbey, Berkshire.
