John Williford Sr.

John was born in 1673 in Isle of Wight, VA. John's father was Andrew Williford. His paternal grandparents were Sir Thomas Wilford II and Bridget ?. He was an only child. He died at the age of 73 in 1746.

Death Notes
- Estate was appraised February 12, 1746. The appraisal was signed by Elizabeth Willeford, widow, who is believed to have been, before marriage, a Miss King of Virginia. "Williford and Allied Families", p. 17.

- James father was William 1733-1783 and mother Mary Jordon. William's father was John Williford, Jr. 1699-1761 and mother Mary Johnson. From there back was John Williford & Elizabeth King, Andrew b 1630, Thomas 2nd b 1610 in England, Capt. Thomas Wilford who died in the Nathaniel Bacon Rebellion in Virginia in 1676 who was the first of us in this country.
