He married (1) BRIDGET in England. He married (2) Margaret Romney Browne Aft. 1653. She died Bef. February
24, 1663/64.

1653- moved to Westmoreland County, Virginia with first wife, Bridget, who died within a few years of coming to Virginia. They settled near his father in that part of Northumberland County which later became Washington
Parish of Westmoreland County. Mrs. Wilsford apparently died within a few years, for records indicate that her husband took as his second wife, Mrs. Margaret Romney Browne. The latter seems to have lived but a short time
after the marriage, for on 24 February 1663/64, the Court of Westmoreland County, ...'doth ordr (at Tho. Wilsford's petition) that Major John Washington shal be guardian to Sarah Browne, Daughter of Mrs. Margaret Browne, als Wilsford, late wife of thom: Wilsford, Dureing ye time she shall continue in ye Country. Ant that she shall be sent to her Uncle Mr. Richard Romney in Barbados with ye first opertunity according to her mother's
desire...'

"Mr. John Washington by his petition to this Court informs them that hee was design'd to remove himself and family into Stafford County and pray'd liberty to remove and take with him Thomas Wilsfford and Richd. Watts, orphants who with their estates were by this Court entrusted to his guardianshipp and management, which being considered and they satisfied of his care and management doe give leave and consent to John Washington to remove the orphants along with him and request the continuance of his care towards them.
