Robert II Capet, known as The Pious, was born on March 27th, 0972 in Orleans, France.

The Pious' father was Hugh Capet and his mother was Adelaide de Poitou. His paternal grandparents were Hugh Magnus Capet and Hedwige of Saxony. He had a sister named Gisele. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 59 on July 20th, 1031.
