Catherine was born in 1800 in East Hampton, LI, NY.  Catherine's father was Lyman  Beecher and her mother was Roxanna Foote.  Her paternal grandparents were David Beecher and Mary Lewis Elliot.  She had a brother and a sister, named Henry and Harriet.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 78 in 1878 in Elmira, NY.
