Jeanne was born on February 6th, 1684 in St Frances, Ile D'orleans, Quebec, Canada.  Jeanne's father was Etienne Mesny and her mother was Catherine Laine.  Her paternal grandparents were Jean Mesny and Jeanne-Marie Cane; her maternal grandparents were Jean Laine and Marie Renaut.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 53 on May 11th, 1737 in Saint-Antoine-De-Tilly, Lotbinière,Quebec,Canada.
