Marie Jeanne's father was Michel Lemay (dit Le Poudrier) and her mother was Marie Michelle Duteau. Her paternal grandparents were Francois Lemay and Marie Gashet (Gaschet); her maternal grandparents were Pierre Duteau and Jeanne Perrin. She had a sister named Madeleine. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 71 on March 2nd, 1743 in Ste Croix, Lotbiniere, Nicolet, Quebec, Canada.
