Michel Lemay (dit Le Poudrier)

Michel was born on March 13th, 1631 in Chesnehutte, Angers, Anjou, France and his baptism took place in St-Pierre-de-Chennehutte, Loire, Perche, France. Michel's father was Francois Lemay and his mother was Marie Gashet (Gaschet). He was an only child. He died at the age of 54 on November 5th, 1685 in Lotbiniere, PQ, Canada.

General Notes
- He immigrated to Canada in 1653, was a fisherman, and disappeared at the end of 1684. It is believed that he drowned in the St. Lawrence River. His second wife, Michelle Quinville, signed a document on 10 Feb 1685 which declared she was a widow. In the 1660 Census, he had a servant named Pierre, who was the brother of Michelle Duteau (his first wife) living at their home and 23 years old.
