John Nunn RS

John was born in 1755 in Craven Co, NC. John's father was William Nunn I and his mother was Elizabeth Loftin. His paternal grandparents were Francis Nunn I and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Cornelius Loftin and Rachel Herring. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Carleton, Elijah, Francis, Ilai, Edmund, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 81 on April 22nd, 1836 in Wilkinson Co Ga. His burial was in Nunn/Wheeler Cemetery, Wilkinson Co Ga.

  Tuesday, April 22, 1817
  On motion of counsel for JOHN NUNN, stating that a deed of conveyance, made from Jacob Dennis to Edmun Nunn for 200 acres of land in Washington County...and also deed of conveyance from said Edmund Nunn to WILLIAM NUNN..were destroyed by fire...copies be established in lieu of said lost originals. Joseph Delk, Clerk
