    John Mosby is summoned to appear at the next Court to declare whether he will take administration on the estate of Edward Mosby , decd. May 3, 1742/ . Ibid, p. 184.
    
    Edward Mosby, decd. The Heir at Law of Edward Mosby, Deceased, having (after being summoned) refused to appear in Court and take administration on the said Decedents Estate, It is ordered that the Sheriff do sell the said Estate according to law, and render an account of his proceedings therein to the next Court. Jan. 3, 1742/ . Ibid, p. 204.
    
    Edward Mosby , decd. Ralph Birntle exhibits an account of his expenses for Burying Edward Mosbey, decd. whereupon it is ordered that the Sheriff do pay him forty shillings current money out of the proceeds of the decedents estate in his hands. Feb. 7, 1742/ . Ibid, p. 206.
    
    Likely this Edward: From an account of surveys made by Richard Ligon from June 1706-June 1707 all being in Henrico County and the parishes of Henrico & Bristol we find Feb. 6, 1707 , Mr. Edward Moseby 400 acres; Feb. 7, 1707 Mr. Edward Moseby 307 acres. Mch. 13, 1706 . Ibid, p. 97.

    i John Mosby was born in 1687. He died before 20 Nov 1718.
    ii Robert Mosby 1, 2, 3 was born 4 in 1689. He died 5 in 1720/1779.   Robert married 2 Agnes Watson 1 on 5 Oct 1725 in Henrico Co., VA. Agnes was born 3 in 1685/1705. She died 4 in 1720/1789. 
    iii Benjamin Mosby was born in 1690. He died on 16 Sep 1772.  Married Mary Poindexter.
    iv Joseph Mosby 1, 2, 3 was born 4 in 1691 in Henrico Co., VA. He died 5 on 13 Jun 1727 in VA.   Joseph married (1) Sabine in 1722/1726. Sabine was born in 1681/1703. She died in 1701/1786.  Joseph married (2) Sabrina. Sabrina was born in 1687/1705. She died in 1722/1790. 
    v Agnes Mosby 1, 2, 3 was born 4 in 1693 in Henrico Co., VA. She died 5 in 1721/1787.   Agnes married 2 John Binford 1 on 12 Nov 1719 in Henrico Co., VA. John was born 3 in 1676/1696. He died 4 in 1721/1782. 
    vi Hezekiah Mosby was born in 1695. He died on 20 Dec 1787.
    vii Jacob Mosby 1, 2, 3 was born 4 in 1697 in Henrico Co., VA. He died 5 in Nov 1781 in Va.  Jacob married Susannah Cox 1, 2 daughter of Nicholas Cox and Mary Claiborne in 1731/1765. Susannah was born about 1703 in Henrico Co., VA. She died in 1731/1797.
    viii Richard Mosby 1, 2, 3 was born 4 in 1699 in Henrico Co., VA. He died 5 on 20 May 1746 in Goochland Co., VA.  Richard married Hannah Hands in 1730/1744. Hannah was born in 1695/1714. She died in 1730/1799.
