Richard was born in 1487 in Cholmondeley, Cheshire, England.  Richard's father was Richard Cholmondeley and his mother was Elizabeth Corbet.  His maternal grandfather was Roger Corbet.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 31 in 1518.  His burial was in Chapel of Saint Peter-ad-Vincula, Tower of London.
