Charlemagne
Charlemagne, known as Charles the Great, was born on April 2nd, 0742 in Aix La Chapelle, Austrasia and his baptism took place in St. Denis, France.  Charles the Great's father was Pepin III (Pippin) “The Short” King of France and his mother was Bertha (Bertrada) “The Broadfoot” of Laon.  His maternal grandparents were Claribert I (Heribert) Count of Laon and Bertrada Princess of France.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 71 on January 28th, 0814 in Aix La Chapelle, Austrasia.  His burial was in Notre Dame D'Aix La Chapelle, Austrasia.
