John was born in 1426 in Bletsoe, Bedfordshire, England.  John's father was Sir Oliver Saint John and his mother was Margaret Beauchamp.  His paternal grandparents were John De Saint John and Elizabeth Paulett; his maternal grandparents were John Beauchamp and Elizabeth Edith Stourton.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 62 in 1488.
