Anne was born about 1448 in Nettlestead, Suffolk, England.  Anne's father was Sir John De Saye III and her mother was Elizabeth Cheney.  Her maternal grandparents were Laurence Cheney (Sheriff Of Cambridge) and Elizabeth Cockayne.  She had a half-sister named Agnes.
