Henry was born in 1036 in Ferrieres, Normandy, France.  Henry's father was Walchelinde De Ferrers and his mother was Mahaut ?.  His paternal grandparents were Henry De Ferriers and Bertha ?.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 52 in 1088 in Tutbury Castle, Staffordshire, England.  His burial was in Tutbury Castle, Staffordshire, England.
