François was born about 1646 in St Leonard De Beaumont Le Roger, Evreux, Normandie, France.  François' father was Jacques Roussel and his mother was Madeleine Beauregard.  He was an only child.  He died on August 5th, 1731 in Baie Du Febvre, Yamaska, Quebec, Canada.
