Thomas was born in 1571 in Perche, Orne, France.  Thomas' father was Joseph Rivard and his mother was Francoise Chasteau.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 49 on September 13th, 1620 in Tourouvre, Mortagne, Perche (Orne), France.
