Marie Madeleine was born on July 5th, 1665 in Quebec, Canada. Marie Madeleine's father was Philippe Matou (dit Labrie) and her mother was Marguerite Doucinet.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacques Matou and Paquette Moutier; her maternal grandparents were Pierre Doucinet and Florence Canteau.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 34 on July 15th, 1699 in Lachine, Quebec, Canada.
