Mathurine was born on March 18th, 1635 in Ste-Marguerite, La Rochelle, Aunis, France.  Mathurine's father was Antoine Leroux and her mother was Jeanne Jouiry (dit Jouary).  Her paternal grandfather was Pierre Leroux; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume Jouiry (dit Jouary) and Mathurine Mercier.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 72 on February 1st, 1708 in St-Laurent, Île d'Orléans, Québec, Canada.  Her burial was on February 2nd, 1708 in St-Laurent, Île d'Orléans, Québec, Canada.
