Jacques was born in 1651 in Port Royal, Acadia, Nova Scotia, Canada.  Jacques' father was Daniel Leblanc and his mother was Marie Francoise Gaudet.  His maternal grandparents were Jehan Gaudet and Marie Daussy.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 80 on May 26th, 1731 in St. Charles-des-Mines, Acadia, Nova Scotia, Canada.
