Jean was born on January 19th, 1637 in St. Jacques, La Charite-sur-Loire, Nievre, France.  Jean's father was Jean Laspron and his mother is Marie Marguerite Laby.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 55 on July 15th, 1692 in Hotel Dieu, Quebec, Quebec, Canada.
