Marie was born in 1639 in Ile-De-Re, La Rochelle, Aunis, France.  Marie's father was Noel Langlois (dit Boisverdun) and her mother was Francoise Grenier.  Her maternal grandparents were Guillaume Garnier and Michelle Marille.  She had two sisters named Anne and Marguerite.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 59 on June 7th, 1698 in Neuville, Portneuf, Quebec, Canada.
