Nicolas was born about 1675 in Bricquebec, d'Avranches, Normandie, France.  Nicolas' father was Charles Joanne and his mother was Catherine Lacoste.  He was an only child.  He died on June 13th, 1715 in Sorel, Québec, Canada.
