Jean Francois was born in 1641 in St Michel Ecluse, Perigueux, Perigord, France. Jean Francois' father was Pierre Foucault and his mother was Peyronne Borda.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 59 on December 4th, 1700 in Trois Rivieres, PQ.
