Etienne was born on October 28th, 1720 in Olivet, Mayenne, France.  Etienne's father was Jacques Duval and his mother was Julienne Foureau.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 85 on September 1st, 1806 in La-Visitation, Pointe-du-Lac, Maskinonge, Quebec, Canada.
