Charles was born on May 3rd, 1629 in St-Jean de Mortagne, ev. Sees, Perche, France.  Charles' father was Zacharie Cloutier and his mother was Xainte Dupont.  His paternal grandparents were Denis Cloutier and Marie Renée Brier; his maternal grandparents were Paul Michel Dupont and Perrine ?.  He had a brother named Jean.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 80 on June 5th, 1709 in Château-Richer, Montmorency, Québec, Canada.  His burial was on June 7th, 1709 in Château-Richer, Montmorency, Québec, Canada.
