Catherine was born about 1651 in St-Ouen-de-Longpaon, Darnetal, Rouen, Normandie, France. Catherine's father was Guillaume Basset and her mother was Marguerite Carie.  She was an only child.  She died on November 16th, 1716 in Beauport, Quebec, Quebec, Canada.
