Mathurin was born in 1626 in Embourie, Angouleme, Angoumois, France.  Mathurin's father was Thomas Baillargeon and his mother was Marie Migotte.  He was an only child.  He died about 1681 in Cap De La Madeleine, Quebec, Canada.
