Hildegarde was born in Aachen, Rhineland, Prussia. Hildegarde's father was Gerold I (Childebrand) Count of Vinzgau and her mother was Imma Duchess of Swabia. She had a brother named Hadrian de Allemania.  She died on April 30th, 0783 in Thionville, Austrasia.  She was buried in Abbaye De St Arnoul, Metz, Austrasia.
