    Scarborough Family Page
    Scarborough was my maternal grandmother's family. I have more infomration
    about the Scarboroughs than any other side of my family. This is probably
    due to my grandmother's interest in geneology though she did not organize
    her research terribly well.
    The Scarboroughs lived in North Carolina for several generations and many
    are there still. My side fo the family lived in Montogmery County and the
    surrounding areas. I have some information that traces the Scarboroughs
    back to the late 1600's in Pennsylvania. There is a tantalizing story
    that came down to me of two Scarborough brothers who were sent to America
    by their father. As the story goes their father was a nobleman in Wales
    who feared for his son's lives from rivals. Sending them to America was
    the relatively safe alternative. From these two brothers most of the
    Scarborough families in this country are descended, so goes the legend.

    I am in the process of scanning many of the family photos I have in my
    possesion.
    I will make some of them available as I have time. They may be of
    interest to other family members. I am also trying to identify many of
    the people whose image I have but can't associate a name with it.
