  • Record is found in Barnwell County, SC, of deed of gift dated 7 January 1800, from Daniel Corbitt to his children, conveying all his estate (Deed Book 2, page 4, Barnwell County). Children named were: Mrs. Rebecca Baxter, John Corbitt, Susannah Corbitt, Mary Corbitt, Thomas Corbitt, Samuel Corbitt, and Mrs. Ann Baxter.
