John I Andrews

John I was born about 1740 in Virginia. John I's father is Joseph Andrews and his mother is Lucretia Tharp. His paternal grandfather is Thomas Andrews. He was an only child. He died after 1789.

  About 1787 John Andrews Sr with 4 of his
  children left Brunswick County Va. to join his
  father in law, John Scarborough, in Montgomery
  N.C. The children were : John Jr, David, Sally
  and her husband, and Lucretia. John Andrews eldest son
  Alexander joined him in N.C. in January of 1795.
  In 1804 four sons of John Andrews
  went to Stewart County, Tenn. with
  James Sr, James Jr, and John Scarborough. They
  were David, James, George, and Anderson Andrews
