Roger Pritchard

Roger was born in England. He died on January 26th, 1671 in New Haven, New Haven, CT. His burial was in Center Church on the Green Churchyard, New Haven, New Haven, CT.

  The parents and time of immigration of Roger Pritchard are unknown. He was an early settler of Wethersfield in the Colony of Conn. where on November 15, 1640, he witnessed the will of Joyce Ward, signing his name as "Roger Prichat".
  
  In 1643, he was in Springield Mass. He received homelots in the first and second divisions, and by 1646, he had 28 acres and was assessed seven shillings, nine pence. He was on a list of eighteen men to raise fifty-five pounds for the minister's maintenance. On April 13, 1646, he was made a freeman of Massachusetts Bay Colony.
  
  Roger Pritchard removed to Milford n the Colony of New Haven & married second, Elizabeth (Prudden) Slough, daughter of James Prudden and widow of William Slough, on December 18, 1653.
  
  He was mentioned in court records in New Haven in 1670 where he died the following year.
