Rev John Lathrop

• General Notes
  • He entered Queen's College, Cambridge in 1601, graduating with a B.A. in 1605 and M.A. in 1609.  He immigrated on the Griffin, arriving 18 September 1634 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. His children Jane, Barbara, Thomas, Samuel, Joseph and Benjamin traveled with him.   He moved to Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, a few days after arriving in Boston.  He moved to Barnstable, in 1639 bringing more than half of his church with him.
