Harriett Mills

Harriett was born in 1838. She died at the age of 21 on December 14th, 1859 in Tracy Mills, Carleton Co., NB, CAN. Her burial was in United Baptist Church Cemetery.

- Her tombstone is in the United Baptist Church cemetery in Tracy Mills along with a brother...near the larger family
  stone of Zephaniah and Mary Mills: "Harriett Harrold, wife of John Harrold, died 14 Dec. 1859, age 21 years."

General Notes
- "Both Clara and Robert were born in 1859. I can imagine young farmer John Harold, his young wife having died...and two children...born in 1859...either twins or 11 months apart. John would have been overwhelmed in how to care for them. Perhaps, Harriett's parents, their grandparents, just north of Centreville a ways in Carleton County (where John lived on Back Greenfield Road) offered to take Clara and raise her. They had lost several children: Hannah, 5 April 1852 aged 6 years, Thomas on 20 May, 1856 aged 8 years, then Harriet 1859. Then they lost Mary 6 Aug. 1860 aged 18 years, and Rosanna 16 Sept. 1865 aged 22 years."
